I was born in England on the 17th December 1971 but only six months later my family migrated to Australia where I have lived since. During that time I have lived in the same area, but within that area I have moved 9 times while I was still living at home and a further 10 times since moving out of home when I was 21. Believe it or not, I hate moving!
Currently I don't have a significant other but I'd love for that to change some time soon. I have a younger brother, an older sister (she has four children), and an older brother. They all live in the same town as me. My parents are divorced, mum lives here in town and my dad lives about 6 hours drive away.
The love of my life is my cat Beethoven, he's the coolest, at an astonishing age of 19+ years (2001) he's doing extreemly well, he is more playful than any kitten I've met and is great company.
I didn't have a particularly easy childhood, I was teased a great deal and that in turn made me think the entire world was against me, I was suicidal. I had no self esteem at all. I struggled on through life that way until I was about 15 years old and something very special happened to me at that stage that I will never be able to forget. Since that experience that changed my life I've become a very different person. It took a long time and a lot of hard work but it has lead me to believe that with God's help, people really can change. I no longer feel that the world hates me and no longer look at the ground when someone is talking to me. And sometimes, you can't shut me up, I used to be SO quiet..nobody that knew me back then would believe I am even the same person. It's God that has made this difference in my life. I'm not saying things are great for me now, I still find things very difficult at times, but it's not a self esteem problem anymore, it's more to do with my health concerns. I have had CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome) since late 1994 and have had Sleep Apnea for up to ten years. I also have a condition known as ITP (thrombocytopenia). All these things combined make it pretty much impossible to work due to exhaustion and inability to concentrate. It gets pretty stressful at times. I'm still holding out hope for a cure, and believing in miracles I don't doubt that some day God may heal me, even before the medical community find any real answers. If I have nothing else, I have hope.
